The Best of Moreland
On Friday the 26th of March, Moral Fairground in partnership with Youth Projects, Society Melbourne, and Pascoe Vale Food Collective present Women in Social Enterprise - The Best of Moreland, an in-person event that celebrates International Women’s day featuring; Tenille Gilbert - Founder of Society Melbourne a not-for-profit organisation that exists to create pathways out of homelessness for young people, Sylvia Lo Piccolo - Chair of Pascoe Vale Food Collective, a community lead group that sources food and cleaning products in bulk as locally, organically and ethically as possible in bulk and provides these items for distribution to its members, and Celeste Norris - Social Enterprise Leader from Youth Projects, an award winning social entrepreneur famed for her highly successful cafe on the Mornington Peninsula., and Karen Porter - Co-Founder of Moreland Star a issues and information sharing portal launched on Facebook at the end of 2020., this venture is 100% volunteer driven and arose out of discussions about the absence of a local single platform to connect communities within Moreland on topical issues and concerns. As well as a very special guest, Mayor Cr Annalivia Hannan, City of Moreland Mayor and social worker that has always strived towards contributing to and developing a community; working to develop affordable housing and social enterprises within the City of Moreland.
