Karen Porter

Karen Porter is the Co-Founders of Moreland Star (MS), an issues and information sharing portal launched on Facebook at the end of 2020. This venture is 100% volunteer driven and arose out of discussions about the absence of a local single platform to connect communities (and community groups) within Moreland on topical issues and concerns. Their aim is for [MS] to be a portal to engage, share and participate in constructive discussions about what’s happening across their community as well as provide a forum for the voice of the community to be heard. If you’ve visited MS, you would have read about the many strong and amazing women behind the stories and social enterprises we have profiled, and my talk will be very much about theirs and our experiences.
