Clothing Swap With Purpose

Win a chance to have Melbourne City’s community support your school’s sustainable fundraising efforts

  • Want to be Melbourne City’s most fashionable & sustainable school?

  • Are you Melbourne’s most fashionable school?

We are looking for ONE lucky secondary or tertiary school to take part in “re-generation youth festival 2022” as their clothing swap host with all funds raised going towards funding your school to take part in A Fitting Connections Fundraising with Purpose program. A Fitting Connections Fundraising with Purpose program addresses the epic problem we have with textile waste by educating and empowering young people to look at the problem as a resource rather than a waste. While doing this we engage the community as volunteers or as customers by purchasing the products made from the waste. The program has been designed in such a way that it promotes and positively effects

  • Mental health and emotional wellbeing

  • Social connections

  • Develop confidence

  • Promote leadership opportunities

It does this by cultivating the students and the local community with a common goal. It provides all involved with a sense of belonging and a social connectedness which offers extra meaning and purpose. The program has been structured to support young people to build on their own ideas, and take on responsibilities that cultivate leadership opportunities while embracing, learning, and working with volunteers.

Sponsor Us

We work collaboratively with many other organisations, sponsors and supporters offering our supporters many opportunities to engage, network and a space to showcase your products and services to a very receptive and engaged audience.

Sponsorship is a great vehicle for brand alignment with certain segments of the community, and to showcase how your brand takes an active role in supporting community-based initiatives with a social and environmental outcome for and with young people.

How can you sponsor?  The best way is to get in touch with us to discuss how you might want to contribute, for example:

  • Financial Sponsor

  • In-kind product or service sponsor

  • Prize donor for many of the competitions

  • Media Partner, etc
