Nicole Lamond is the Founder of Universal Village, a fair trade tea company that develops fair trade tea products, where she gets to combine her passion for entrepreneurship, ethics and delicious teas.

Nicole has achieved commercial success with the Qi Tea and Eloments brand of teas - Eloments being the world’s first certified organic vitamin tea, achieving ranging in Woolworths along with major chains in UK and EU. Her guiding belief that drives decision making is that both caring and commercial success are not mutually exclusive. Nicole has both bootstrapped the launch of brands and raised $1 million in capital for her new business and has ridden out the highs and lows of running a business and raising 3 children as a single parent.

Nicole has been an active proponent of Fair Trade since 1998 and in 2003 was a founding board member of the Fair Trade Association of Australia and New Zealand, in 2019 she was a Dynamic Business Top 10 Entrepreneur of the Year and a finalist in the Women’s Agenda Emerging Business Leader of the Year.The mission for her business, Universal Village is to accelerate the world's transition to a living wage for all.
