Jessica is passionate about social enterprise as a method of addressing the key social and environmental challenges of our time. Working in certification at Social Traders, Jessica supports social enterprises through the certification process and works to identify and articulate their social impact. Previously working with youth-led social enterprises to support their development and growth, Jessica has a solid understanding of the social enterprise landscape and the many different business models and structures they take. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science from Monash University, where she majored in mathematics and undertook the specialised Global Challenges course including studies into change management, social enterprise and political advocacy.
Session Title: An Introduction to Social Traders Certification
Session Synopsis: In this session, we will dive into the Social Traders Certification application process. We will cover the broad context, including the social procurement landscape and the role of Social Traders as well as the specifics of the documents and data that are assessed as part of the certification and the (sometimes unexpected) benefits that you may realise through the certification process. You’re encouraged to bring any questions you have along – and we look forward to answering them in this session.
