Jacqueline (Jackie) Peel is a Professor of Law at the Melbourne Law School and the Director of the Melbourne Climate Futures initiative at the University of Melbourne. She is a globally renowned expert in the field of environmental and climate law with several books and numerous articles published on these topics. Amongst other roles, Jackie is co-chair of the American Society of International Law’s Signature initiative on Climate Change, is a founder of the Women’s Energy and Climate Law Network and is a Lead Author on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Working Group III for its Sixth Assessment Report.

Professor Jacqueline Peel is a leading, internationally-recognised expert in the field of environmental and climate change law. Her scholarship on these topics encompasses international, transnational and national dimensions, as well as interdisciplinary aspects of the law/science relationship in the environmental field and risk regulation.
