Storey Hall

RMIT Storey Hall Building 16 - located at 336 - 342 Swanston Street the Builder was Hansen and Yuncken - Architects ARM - Ashston Raggatt McDougall. Storey Hall received National Interior Architecture award in 1996 for the refurbishment completed.

First built as the Hibernian Hall, it was remodelled as the iconic Storey Hall in 1995, when it received an ultra-modern extension, featuring geometric-shaped windows and tiles.

While the remodelling preserved the original, heritage-protected building, the extension includes references to Melbourne’s architectural past, while showing what can be done with modern design and architectural techniques and technology.

The building is now home to the RMIT Gallery and includes a large auditorium and function space. It was originally built for the Hibernian Australasian Catholic Benefit Society in 1887 – and the extensive use of green in the extension’s exterior references that Irish heritage.

The building was renamed in 1959 to honour two members of the Storey family with close links to RMIT.

Sir John Storey Senior, a pioneer of Australia’s automotive and aircraft industries, was Melbourne Technical College Vice President 1944-1945. His son, John Storey Junior, was a former Student Representative Council president.

Day 2: Tuesday 7th December 2021 (Dinner)
The State Library Victoria. The Conversation Room
328 Swanston St, Melbourne VIC

State Library of Victoria

Established in 1854 as the Melbourne Public Library, State Library Victoria is Australia's oldest public library and one of the first free public libraries in the world.

Their founders believed that access to knowledge was critical for the development of a civil and prosperous community, and created the Library as 'the people’s university' – a place of learning and discovery for all Victorians. They also charged the Library with preserving Victoria's heritage by collecting items of historical and cultural significance for future generations.

These are responsibilities that remain a critical focus today. Each year they add more than 70,000 heritage items to the Library’s rich collection and lead the sector with our ambitious digitisation programs. They also work hard to adapt and remain relevant to our Library users, as well as reach out to new audiences. As a result, Library patronage has continued to increase, with almost two million physical visits to the Library annually and over 4.3 million annual online visits.

Tickets and Packages

A range of prizes and ticket offers have been created.

In alignment with our aims to make the 2021 Ethical Enterprise Conference accessible to many as well as considering the critical circumstances that we’ve experienced this year, the ticketing cost and format of the conference have been altered this year. With this in mind, we have reduced the cost of the tickets to ensure that the important messages and work of the conference will be able to reach a range of communities. The cost of the tickets reflects the minimum investment required to deliver the conference program including catering and productions costs.

Will the event go digital?

Should circumstances prevent us from postponing the conference and awards, we will move the event completely online.  Any ticket holder that has purchased tickets for the in-person event, will be provided with a partial refund.
