Shannon Threlfall

The Ethical Lifestyle Program Coordinator

Founder of Project Selvage
Shannon has an extensive background in the fashion industry, beginning with an Applied Fashion Design qualification over ten years ago. Since then, Shannon has established herself as an industry expert, immersing herself in the sustainable and ethical fashion industry through various research projects, as well as many volunteer and internship positions with well-respected, change-leading organisations.

Since completing her International Business degree at Swinburne University in Melbourne, Shannon has established her own sustainable fashion business, Project Selvage. Project Selvage aims to reduce the amount of textile waste that ends up in landfill. This is done by producing up-cycled clothing, hosting workshops and other educational events, as well as working with other fashion businesses to improve their supply chains.

Project Selvage allows Shannon to combine her creativity with her passion for educating consumers, students and other clothing labels about the social and environmental issues within the fashion industry.
