What is the Fair Trade Festival?
The Fair Trade Festival is a global event that celebrates the Fair Trade movement, campaign for justice in trade practices and promote sustainable environment and social responsibility. The theme for this year is: “WHAT DOES FAIR-TRADE MEAN TO YOU: Remove the shadow of doubt from your favourite products?”
The “Remove the Shadow of Doubt” Art Competition will be held as a part of Fair Trade Festival and will be open to 4 categories: students in Early Years or attending either Middle School, High School or University. Students from all age groups are encouraged to submit artwork that indicate what Fair-Trade means to them. The submitted artwork should be fun, innovative and positive. The closing date for entries is 4th August 2018. All the submitted entries will be on public display at the Brunswick Town Hall on 4th August 2018.
Moral Fairground will strive to ensure that Australia’s unique, eclectic and evocative artists come to judge this competition and support the student’s creativity and vision. The winners will be declared on the same day, between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. from amongst the displayed art work.
Moral Fairground is a company that aims to raise awareness and promote Fair Trade and ethical business in Australia, educate consumers so that they can make informed choices and inspire others to make a stand for a fairer and ethical future. They achieve this through running events, exhibitions and education programs and providing information to the public. Support Moral Fairground in raising awareness among students by encouraging them to participate and attend the event on 4th August 2018 at Brunswick Town Hall from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
