Closing Date: 1st November 2013

Students are invited to design and create a sustainable fashion outfit.

A sustainable fashion outfit is created and produced with consideration to the environmental and social impact it may have throughout its total life span.

Example entries may include; fashion made with no-waste or from organic, recycled or fair trade materials.

The winning entry will receive a cash prize of $500!

The top three finalists including the winner will be showcased at the Fair@Square 2013 festival in the Fair Living tent. The festival is expected to receive in excess of 85, 000 visitors this year.

To enter, please complete the On-line Entry form along with no more than two photos before 1st December 2013.

Judging criteria:
  • Originality
  • Sustainability
  • Design aesthetic
  • Innovation
  • Wearability
  • Written and visual explanation of the design and the consideration to the environment and social impact.
  • Entrants must be enrolled in in Secondary school or a university level fashion course in 2013
Conditions of entry:

• One outfit per entry

• Each individual may enter more than one outfit as a separate entry

• One outfit can be a dress or top and bottom. Each entry must be a
complete outfit.

• Entries must be submitted with the official entry form and two photos.

• Photos must in PDF or JPG format and not exceed a size limit of 1mb.

• Entries must be original, and he or she must hold all intellectual and moral property rights to the work.

• Accepts, by signing the entry form that the entry is entered at the student’s own risk. The 2013 Fair Fashion and the organisers Moral Fairground are not liable for any loss or damage incurred to the entry, either in transit or to and from the festival, or during any period of storage, packing or unpacking, during the festival, or in any period in which the entry is in their keeping.

• Students are responsible for delivery and collection of items for Fair Fashion unless otherwise agreed.

• Accepts that all selected entries submitted will be used for promotional use.

• Finalists must send their entries to Moral Fairground by Friday 22nd November and include a self addressed prepaid return parcel.
