Program Guide

Wellness Mama is part of the Fair@Square Ethical Lifestyle Festival 2019.

Let go, relax or dance away. This space is dedicated to mums, join the morning Yoga Session; lean some classical Chinese dance moves Jazz or Latin American Rhythms. This is the place to get active, have some fun and why not, get the dads to join as well.

Saturday | 10.30am – 11.30am
Yoga Corner (Yoga)

Learn the basics of a strong and effective yoga practice and enjoy a short guided meditation practice with Yoga Corner Founder Amy Leonard-King. Following this will be an info session + Q&A on the benefits of both, and how to incorporate yoga and meditation practices into your life to bring about more peace, happiness + balance.

Joseph Samya

J Samya Dance (Salsa)

Joseph will be teaching an introduction class to Salsa, where you will learn how to lead and follow. By the end of the class you will be able to dance dance a short salsa routine.

 


Kay Wong

Saturday | 3pm – 4pm
Dsoul Studio (Jazz)

Professional jazz teaching in a harmonious atmosphere. Flexibility and strength can be fully discovered in the choreography of Malaysian teacher Kay. The charm of dance is not only about
movement such as kicks, leaps, jumps, turns, but also the emotion transformed by a combination of music, rhythm and dance.

 


Ying Liu

Saturday| 4.30pm – 5.10pm
Y Dance Studio (Classical Chinese)

Classical Chinese dance is rooted in five millennia of Chinese civilisation. You will learn basics of movements of Classic Chinese from this workshop. You will deepen understanding to Chinese Culture through this workshop.

Ying Liu is a co-ordinator of Moral Fairground Festival. Australian based contemporary dance performer and Choreographer. She was a Choreographer of Tsinghua University Dance Group. Ying Liu worked with BeijingLDTX Dance company. She collaborate with many artists. She performed “circle” by Wei Zi in Beijing Dance Festival. Standing Before Darkness Choreography: Sang Jijia. Icosahedron Choreography: Matan Zamir (Israel). Ying Liu has her Dance Class in Melbourne now.

FOREVER DANCE presents a wonderful display of Latin dancing which will include:-

A fun and interactive way to learn a new skill and shake your hips.
