Founded by our director Kieran Richardt in 2005, Natura Pacific is a social enterprise providing environmental solutions through consulting and education.
Our vision is to demonstrate a socioeconomic business structure that allows businesses and communities to co-exist sustainability with net benefits to both and the environment.
Originally starting out as an environmental excursion company, we have grown to become a well-renowned environmental enterprise in our region employing 13 diverse and wonderful staff. Our rather unique business model uses the delivery of expert environmental consulting services through our consultancy team to generate profits, which then subsidise our environmental education team to deliver 10 scientifically-backed, curriculum-aligned environment and sustainability-themed courses to over 50 education establishments at a very cheap, or free, rate to the establishment. We see this as an ethical business model, which we want to spread to other businesses allowing more of us to ‘do charity by doing trade’. More importantly, this model acts as a catalyst for large-scale ‘grass-roots’ sustainable development and resource use and teaches future generations to take care of their countries. Using this model, we have worked on over 285 consulting projects and have provided hands on environmental education and capacity building programs to over 227,000 participants in 10 years.
