The materials used will be purely white or painted white as an effective canvas for light image projection. The method of using a projector is to manifest light as an aesthetic as it is readily available in enhancing objects. This workshop can also  inspire the making of furniture from recycled materials.

Congestion

Performance (3min)

Congestion

Duration: Starting 2.30pm

Frequent traffic jam in the city impacts on people’s emotion, social behaviour and lifestyle. Are there too much consumption of cars causing a large amount of CO2 emission? How can we consume sustainably and wisely, and letting things go, rather than having things all ‘congested’ in our life and our mind. Fashion student Vivian Qiu has partner up with theatre director Sarah Vickery and Romi Kupfer to present this short but punchy performance. You will see model ripping pieces off garment to express her emotion and rejection to congestion. As garment becomes thinner and simpler, the model feels brighter, happier and fresher.

In order to minimise the negative impact on human beings and planets, leading fair trade fashion brands put effort into each  stage of supply chain. With attention to precise details and techniques, the garments are made with love, and bring delight to your life. You feel good and look good in fair trade clothes.
