Antony McMullen is passionate about co-operative business, civil society strengthening and ownership disruption in the new economy. He is currently engaged by Employee Ownership Australia and New Zealand, Catholic Social Services Victoria and Church of All Nations in Carlton in member development, policy and communication related roles. Previous to this he has held a variety of not-for-profit positions – from education research and social policy officer to social enterprise catalyst.
Previous leadership positions include: President of Swinburne Student Union, and later Social Security Rights Victoria (a community legal centre), delegate with Australian Services Union and most recently community services agency director with UnitingCare. He is currently a vice chair of the Victoria Day Council and Association that awards Victorian of the Year.
A self-described ‘coopreneur’, he is the inaugural Chancellor of the 888 Antipodean Order of Froth Blowers Co-operative (think brewing charity) and is the founder of the more serious CoopWorkshop blog, think tank and meetup.
